Rizzieri's 2012 Rock & Recycle Fashion Show

This past weekend we had the privilege of attending Rizzieri Schools and Studio Salon's Rock & Recycle Fashion Show at the Voorhees Town Center in Voorhees, NJ.  The event was a fundraiser with 100% of proceeds to benefit the Clean Ocean Action. What a great, great cause!

My daughter Cynthia was one of the models, as our hair artisan, Kat Zemtsova, was one of the Rizzieri stylists who participated in the show.  Her work - hair/makeup/fashion - and that of her team mate, Kristin Iannarella,  turned out to be super spectacular!  Here are the results of Cynthia's look - all put together by Kat and Kristin. We made most of the jewelry that Cynthia is wearing by using recycled items such as old records, old belts, beads, and metals.

This is one of my favorite shots that I took of Cynthia...

The necklace with the large turquoise piece in the center is one of the pieces I made by using old records. The record is covered with a metallic bronze/golden paper.  I made the earrings by cutting pieces of sheet metal and adding beads and stones.

One of my favorite pieces I made was the large turquoise cuff, surrounded by orange glass beads and wooden beads. It is gorgeous!

These are some of the other models donned with clothing made of paper, coffee filters, latex gloves, hair color tubes, records, grass and then some...

And a few more shots of Cynthia...she really worked the runway. So proud of her.

Frank Rizzieri...workin' the runway. He's a pretty awesome guy!

{Go ahead...strut your stuff!  xoxo, Nei}
